Review - L'Oreal Miss Manga mascara

Hi everyone!

I've always been fascinated with manga characters eyes, so when L'Oreal came out with this mascara I jumped on it! It claims to give you ultimate volume and hold. Here's my thoughts:

The packaging is really cute, yet classy and not so childlike as I could have feared. It's a bit bigger than my other mascaras, but not so big that it feels weird to hold or anything.

The wand is cone shaped and is very flexible! I've heard some people say that the flexible brush makes it harder to apply, but I find that this makes the application softer and it doesn't feel like your tugging on your lashes. I was a bit worried about the product itself because I've never found a mascara I've liked that wasn't waterproof. This is due to the fact that my lashes droop very easily and non waterproof formulas tend to be too wet and has a harder time holding the curl than a waterproof mascara has. BUT I was pleasantly surprised!

On the left picture I'm wearing one coat. The lashes look natural, separated and longer. In the middle picture I'm wearing two coats. The lashes look a lot longer and separated and more voluminous. On the right picture I added mascara to the bottom lashes which makes the eye look bigger and more open.
Before applying mascara I curled my lashes, and when the mascara was still wet my lashes drooped a little, however when the mascara dried (which happened pretty quickly) the curl held up very nicely.

As I mentioned this is not a waterproof mascara, but I will say that it could fall into the "tear proof" category. I tried wetting my finger and rubbing my lower lash line, and it did take a bit for the mascara to smudge. With that said, it easily comes off with makeup remover (I tried Bioderma and it came off easily, and Bioderma does NOT work with my waterproof mascaras)

So if your looking for a mascara that will hold the curl, but don't want the hassle that comes with taking off a waterproof mascara, then this could be for you!

Hope this review was helpful.
